Stephen Van Dop grew up in the small town of Fremont, Michigan, whose population is half the size of Vineyard Columbus. Stephen has served as a medical center chaplain in Chicago and a pastor for two Reformed Church congregations. Since 2000 he has been on staff at Vineyard Columbus as the Pastor of our Connect Ministry. In that role he is directly responsible for welcoming and connecting new visitors and believers, all church outreaches, Evangelism training, Church Planting, Singles and Men's ministries. As part of the Senior Pastoral Team he supervises Worship and Children's Ministries and Vineyard Columbus' Sawmill Campus. Additionally, Stephen teaches Evangelism courses at VLI (Vineyard Leadership Institute). Internationally, Stephen leads the US Vineyard Partnership in Zambia. He enjoys outdoor activities (scuba diving, wilderness canoeing and hiking) jazz, reading and writing. Stephen and his wife Susan have been married 30 years. They continue to enjoy three children, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, three grandchildren, two canoes and one grand piano.

Sue Burkett
Pastor
Sue Burkett is the Pastor for Discipleship and Empowered Life at Vineyard Columbus. Sue oversees the care of new followers of Jesus at Vineyard Columbus as well as the Prayer Ministry teams and training, Soaking Prayer Teams and Empowerment Night among other things. She is passionate about helping others engage in experiencing the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. Sue graduated from VLI in 2008 and received a Certificate in Formational Prayer from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2011. Sue and her husband Michael came to the Vineyard in 1992, and have been “Doin’ the stuff” ever since. They have 2 adult sons, a granddaughter and a garden. If these don’t keep them busy enough, you can find them outdoors – walking, hiking or biking!

Anthony D. Cannon
Pastoral Coordinator
Anthony and his wife Nina are the parents of three grown children, one grandson, and a very large and close-knit extended family. He holds a BA from Liberty University in Multi-Disciplinary Studies with a concentration on Religion and Business. He is also a Retired Master Sergeant from the US Army. Anthony leads our monthly Welcome Dinner, our Weekly Decision Prayer ministry, coordinates our weekly follow up for new Christians and also works with Men's Life. His hobbies include cooking, reading, watching sports, and most of all spending time with his wife and family.

Karin McGuire
Ministry Coordinator
Karin McGuire and her husband, Daron, reside in Westerville with their German Shepherd "Koda". Karin has two stepchildren: Samantha (Sam) and Sawyer. Karin loves to be outdoors and enjoys hiking, kayaking, bicycling and boating. She loves to write and is currently writing a monthly article for a national women's group, "The Transition Network."

Mandi Grohoske
Ministry Coordinator
Mandi has called Vineyard Columbus her home since 1994. She has served on staff for eight years coordinating and facilitating over 250 volunteers who create the warm and welcoming atmosphere at our weekend worship services. Her love for hospitality is also put to good use with coordinating and facilitating the Baptism Events and Funeral Ministry. Mandi has been married to Duane for 25 years and they are blessed with two children, Brad & Hanna. She loves spending time with her family and friends, enjoys playing tennis, biking and anything that goes along with the outdoors. She loves to watch in amazement what God does on a weekly basis at VC and counts it a privilege to be on staff.

Joyce Shuster
Administrative Assistant
Joyce came to Vineyard Columbus via corporate life; she spent many years as business manager for an architectural firm. She began volunteering at the Zone, the after school program at the Vineyard Community Center. She loved the staff and the kids and felt drawn to seek employment at VC. She has been the Administrative Assistant to Stephen Van Dop for over a year and loves the challenge of keeping up with a busy pastor. She still volunteers at the Community Center and looks forward to her time spent with her "reading buddy". Joyce has two grown children, and she and her husband of 38 years live in Clintonville with their new cat, Phelps. Her husband Mike loves all things OSU, but Joyce is content with being a huge OSU basketball fan.

Linda McPherson
Administrative Assistant
Linda's role in the Connect Ministry is to help serve and coordinate the over 200 volunteers that provide the welcoming atmosphere for Vineyard Columbus during the weekend services. Linda also assists with coordinating Funerals and Baptism Events. Linda and her husband are small group leaders and are involved in other areas of ministry at Vineyard. Linda, along with her husband and son served as missionaries in Ukraine for eight years.
