Become an English Conversation Partner
There are literally hundreds of international students at OSU who are waiting for an American English Conversation or Friendship Partner. You can help an international student adjust to a whole new world and have a positive experience in the U.S. by meeting regularly for conversation, being a good listener, building a friendship, or sharing a meal or other activity.
New volunteers will need to complete an application form and attend a training. To get involved, please contact Don Root, 614.267.7631 (no calls after 9pm, please). You may find training dates and an application for new volunteers at our International Friendships website.

Haiti Relief: Construction Volunteers Needed
As part of our ongoing relief efforts in Haiti, Vineyard Columbus is helping to build an orphanage that will be home to 30 children who lost parents in last year’s earthquake.
We are looking for experienced construction volunteers who can help lead and work alongside our Haitian partners. We specifically need the following volunteers who can serve for 1-2 weeks (or more) in Haiti:
· Construction Professionals
· Concrete Professionals
· Masonry Professionals
· Plumbers
· Electricians

English as a Second Language Classes (ESL)
Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 10-11:30am (year-round)
Tuesdays, 7-9pm (September-May)
We offer free English classes for adults of all nationalities. We are looking for volunteers who love meeting new people. You can help by tutoring, watching the children of students or being a conversation partner. Prayer support, evangelism and administrative help are also needed.
