Ron Hitchcock

Pastor

Ron Hitchcock has been the Marriage & Family Life Pastor at Vineyard Columbus since 2003. The Marriage & Family Life Ministry of VC assists about three hundred people prepare for marriage each year.  The ministry also helps to restore approximately seventy crisis marriages each year. Ron received his Master of Divinity degree from the Kings Seminary and has been in pastoral ministry for over twenty years. He is the President and founder of Life in Motion Resources. He has developed online resources for churches and Christian organizations to use in the areas of marriage and family life. Ron is married to Barbara, a woman of great energy and abundant joy. Ron and Barbara have two adult children.

Kelli Messick

Premarital Pastoral Coordinator

Kelli Messick is a part of the pastoral staff for Marriage & Family Life, and has enjoyed serving on staff since 2001. She oversees the Premarital Heart2Heart Coaching Program and the How2Become1 Premarital Classes. Kelli is passionate about helping couples prepare well for marriage as well as training married couples to serve as Coaches to engaged couples. She and her husband Larry live in Westerville and have one teenage son, Max. Kelli was raised in Columbus, Ohio, but began her walk with Christ in the Vineyard movement in Southern California from 1983-1991. The Messick's have been a part of Vineyard Columbus since 1994 and enjoy serving as Coaches for engaged couples.

Ken Warren

Pastoral Coordinator

Ken Warren is a pastoral coordinator for Marriage & Family Life. Ken is focused on serving married couples. Ken coordinates our crisis marriage program and our marriage coach ministry. Ken also teaches Journey to Oneness, our course designed to help couples develop the oneness that God intends for their marriage. Ken received a BA in Religious Studies from The Ohio State University and a Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. Ken far exceeded anyone’s expectation for him when he married his wife Debbie. Ken and Debbie have one child with whom they share a love for the outdoors.

Mindy Layman

Part-time Administrative Assistant

Mindy Layman joined the Marriage & Family Life staff as a part-time Administrative Assistant in August of 2008. She helps support the Pastoral Coordinators, Parent Partnership Coordinator and Begin Again Coordinator. She graduated with an English degree from Ashland University in 2002, and moved to Columbus in 2004, where she met her husband, Jason, in a Vineyard small group. They now co-lead a Joshua House small group for young married couples. Mindy has a heart for helping couples prepare for and succeed in marriage and parenting.

Carol McClure

Parent Partnership Coordinator

Carol McClure joined the Marriage and Family Life Ministry as the Parent Partnership Coordinator in October of 2008. Through this ministry, Carol develops educational curriculum and programs, while facilitating the Parent Coach Ministry. Through this ministry, parent coaches are matched with individuals who would like to grow in their parenting skills by using the Life in Motion Relationship Inventory. Carol is a graduate of Vineyard Leadership Institute and has extensive training working with those who have experienced miscarriage, still birth, abortion and/or childhood abuse.  Carol and her husband Randy have three adult children and one child in preschool.

Cindy Van Stone

Begin Again Coordinator

Cindy has served in the Begin Again Ministry since 2004, and currently acts as the Begin Again Coordinator at Vineyard. The Begin Again Ministry helps married couples in crisis by providing Begin Again weekends as well as Marriage Coaching.  Cindy has a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and is married with three children.

Floyd Hodoh

Recruiter and Young Couples Coordinator

Floyd Hodoh was born and raised in Akron, Ohio and received a B.A. Management in 1988 from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. Floyd teaches the Dating without Drama 1&2 which helps individuals in diverse stages of life develop and understand the dynamics of healthy and Christ-centered dating. He also supports the Premarital Coaching Program by teaching Finances in Marriage and serving as a young couples coach along with his wife DeCarla. Floyd is also on staff with the Community Center working in the Zone Afterschool program. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and sharing his passion for motivating the younger generation by coaching football and basketball with Upwards. Floyd and his wife DeCarla have been married for 17 years and have 3 energetic sons.

Emilie Rogers

Intern

Emilie is one of the new interns in the Marriage and Family Life Ministry. She and her husband Peter joined Vineyard Columbus soon after they married and moved to Westerville in 2003. She previously lived in Delaware, Ohio where she raised her three children as a single parent. Emilie is currently retired from the company she served for 35 years and enjoys volunteering and taking care of family and home. She also enjoys quilting and line dancing.

Emilie was a single parent for 15 years and became a step-parent to four children upon her marriage to Peter consequently she has a passion to help single parents and step-families. She feels blessed by God and wants to share those blessings with others during her internship.

Jewell Mongeau

Intern

Jewell was born and raised in western Pennsylvania and has lived in New Jersey, Massachusetts and Illinois. For the past sixteen years, she has called Columbus, Ohio, her home. She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and has completed graduate coursework at Otterbein College. She has two daughters, Rebekah, who serves on the worship team, and Olivia, a nurse at OSU Medical Center...Go Bucks!!

Jewell has always been passionate about family. Growing up in a Christian home as one of five children, she experienced the joy and support of being part of a loving family unit. With God’s help, she desires to use her talents to help others develop the skills needed to make Christ the center of their lives, as well as the center of their homes.

In the past, Jewell has worked in education and in business. Currently, she enjoys volunteering in the Just Me and the Kids ministry, as well as serving as a marriage coach with her husband, David, of 30 years. For relaxation, she creates clothing and gardens and takes long walks, often at Hocking Hills, with her family.

Rebekah Mongeau

Administrative Assistant

Rebekah has been the administrative assistant to Ron Hitchcock since 2011. She loves her job supporting Ron and various other members of the Marriage & Family Life staff. She has spent most of her life here in Columbus, but she has lived in Chicago and in Cincinnati, where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati. Rebekah is passionate about serving the people of Vineyard Columbus and our city. She enjoys directing them to the help and resources that families need to make Christ the center of their homes and marriages. She is thankful to be able to do something she loves so much daily! Rebekah also sings on the worship team and teaches voice in the Worship Training Center. She is blessed with two wonderful parents, a beautiful, spunky sister, and a little white fur-ball named Misha.
