Homeless Women's Overflow Shelter
In the winter, the homeless shelters can fill up quickly. The overflow shelter is designed to provide a warm and dry place for those individuals who did not get a bed at the shelter. This year churches in Central Ohio have been asked to gather volunteers to provide personal care items, sacked lunches and to be overnight hosts at the overflow shelter. We need small groups/individuals to provide travel sized personal care items, lunch donations and those willing to spend an overnight at St. Stephens Community Center. Training will be provided for all volunteers.

Remember you can bring all your paper recycling to Vineyard and throw it in the green and yellow Abitibi bins in the SW corner of the parking lot. All your junk mail, magazines, newspapers and paper are recycled and we get a little cash. What a deal!!!
- Aluminum cans - collected in labeled boxes located around the building.
- Mixed paper - collected in large bins located in the SE corner of the south parking lot.
- Used church bulletins - collected in crates at main entrances to the sanctuary.
You can also recycle your old newspapers, magazines, office/school papers, shopping catalogues and mail. Place your recyclable paper in the green and yellow Abitibi paper retriever bins in the southeast corner of the parking lot. Abitibi reimburses for each ton of paper. The proceeds go to our scouts and community garden efforts. Place your aluminum cans in the blue containers stationed around our building.
