Linda Heselton
Pastor/Senior Pastoral Team
Children's Pastor
Linda Heselton and her husband, Craig (Executive Pastor), were one of the couples who "planted" this church in 1974 (we became a Vineyard in 1986). She joined the staff in 1989 as the Children's Ministry Coordinator and became the Children's Ministry Pastor in 1995. Linda has had the unique opportunity to grow with the ministry to children here at Vineyard Columbus! In addition to her role at VC, Linda serves as the task force leader for Children's Ministry in our Great Lakes region and represents the region on the national Children's Ministry task force. Linda and Craig are parents to four grown children and a growing number of grandchildren!

Mike Szlapak
Pastor
Following graduation from Nazarene Bible College in Colorado, Mike and his family moved to scenic Columbus in 1999. They joined Vineyard Columbus, and he became our Grade School Pastor. Under Mike's direction, our ministry to grade school children has grown both in numbers and depth. In addition to all of his VineyardKids, Mike and his wife Amy are proud parents of three teenagers.

Pam White
Pastoral Coordinator
Pam and her family joined Vineyard Columbus in 1992. She quickly entered into ministry helping to direct a VineyardKids play, despite being ready to deliver her third child! Pam joined our staff in 1998 providing leadership to the Early Childhood department of VineyardKids. She dreamed of writing a children's curriculum that reflected Vineyard values. Pam led the creative team that made that dream a reality with the publishing of Little Son Catchers in 2007. In addition, Pam maintains her directing skills with VineyardKids choir. Pam and her husband Frank have three children.

Josie Grim
Kidz Quest Administrative Assistant
Josie and her husband Jeff first met one another as they both served in a VineyardKids' preschool classroom. Josie left a career as an environmental engineer and joined our staff as an Administrative Assistant in 2001. With a flare for the arts (particularly drama and worship), Josie serves wearing many different hats within VineyardKids. She also serves in the prayer, comfort music and eco ministries.

Liz Gee
Early Childhood Administrative Assistant
Liz and her husband Greg joined Vineyard Columbus in 2006. She served as a VineyardKids leader in our Early Childhood Center and then joined our staff as Administrative Assistant in 2008. Liz provides oversight to one of the services each weekend. She is also "mom" to two boys.

Beth Best
Nursery & Baby Dedication Coordinator
Beth joined Vineyard Columbus in 2001, and volunteered as a Small Group leader in Kids Quest. She always held a special place in her heart for the babies, and in 2005 Beth joined the staff as the Nursery Ministry Coordinator. Blooming Babies has blossomed under Beth's leadership! In addition, Beth coordinates baby dedications and uses her administrative skills in monitoring our Children's Ministry budget. Beth is "mom" to two children.

April Murphy
Volunteer Coordinator
April first met her husband Duane in the two-year-old class where he was a VineyardKids leader! She joined Vineyard Columbus in 2001 and became our first VineyardKids Volunteer Coordinator in 2005. In addition to recruiting volunteers, April (and Duane) have three children. April is both mom and home-school teacher!

Candy Johnson
Drama and Arts Coordinator
Candy has been a member of the church since the church's early years. She served as one of our first worship leaders. She joined our staff as the Kidz Quest Worship and Arts Coordinator in 2001. Candy has two grown sons and two grandsons.

Sherry Chapin
Joshua House Coordinator
Sherry and her husband Mike joined Vineyard Columbus in 1994 and began serving in children's ministry soon after. Following graduation from VLI, Sherry began serving as the children's ministry coordinator for Joshua House in 2001, and she also leads a Vineyard small group. Sherry and Mike are parents to three sons.

Barbara Castanien
Childcare Coordinator
Barbara officially became a member of Vineyard Columbus in 2004. She quickly became involved in VineyardKids and has served working in both the Nursery and Early Childhood Departments. Barbara began coordinating our childcare providers in 2006. She also serves as a weekend supervisor in the Nursery and coordinates Children's Ministry for our Spanish community. In her spare time, Barbara works full time as a daycare provider!

Randy Evans
Intern
Randy and his wife Lauren joined Vineyard Columbus in the fall of 2008. He works full time as a medical research assistant at the Ohio State University. Randy became the Kidz Quest intern in September 2009, and has since recruited his wife to be a VineyardKids' leader in Kidz Quest with him!
