Recession Response
In an effort to help people impacted by the current economic recession, Vineyard Columbus has created tangible ways to offer assistance to church members and attenders, where it is most needed.
Our desire is to respond to the challenges being brought about by the recession according to the initiation and leading of God. With this in mind, we want to provide a holistic approach by helping people with employment, finances, referral to resources, spiritual growth and support.
Intake and Care
An Intake and Care Coordinator is available to assess applicants' priorities and concerns, and connect them to the appropriate services and resources.
We understand that job loss and financial difficulties not only have economic consequences; they can be emotionally devastating and bring on many stressors. It is our desire that, through Recession Response involvement, individuals will feel cared for and encouraged as they navigate difficult circumstances. Our goal is that people will ultimately grow in their relationship with Christ, learning to trust in His timing and provision.
Employment Assistance
One of the greatest needs during this time is for employment assistance. An Employment Specialist is available to help with skill assessment, resume review and enhancement and search strategy development.
Financial Guidance
Many people are facing economic setbacks. A Financial Counseling Specialist is available to help navigate the myriad of issues in the financial landscape. To learn more about additional opportunities for coaching, education and resource tools, connect with Financial Freedom.
Apply
Anyone desiring assistance through Recession Response must complete and submit the Economic Crisis Inquiry Form.

It also helps us enter into a closer relationship with Jesus and contribute to Kingdom activities.
God wants us to have financial freedom whether in crisis, great abundance or somewhere in between. To this end, the ministry strives help you through coaching, planned giving assistance, educational opportunities and key resources.

Budget/Spending Plan
Developing and following a spending plan will help you reduce debt, tithe properly, and save for emergencies and long-term goals.
This Spending Plan will first help you understand how your income compares to your expenses, so that you can design a monthly spending plan.
Once your have created your spending plan, the next crucial part is to keep track of your expenses every day and month. This will automatically tally all of your expenses so that you can see if you are over or under-budget, where you might need to make adjustments, and how much money you can spend for a particular category for the balance of the month - be sure to commit to daily entry of expenses.
Financial Education
Vineyard Columbus sponsors both the Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, a 13-week practical personal finance class, and the 10-week heart changing Crown Financial Bible studies. These life-changing programs teach financial wisdom and practical skills necessary for solid personal financial management.
New classes will be starting soon. To be notified when they start, please email Kent Irwin. You can register on our Community Center website.
